I bring my netbook with me, because I like to be able to check email, respond to Facebook, and look things up on the web (including activities pertaining to my vacation). While my iPhone is great for these, it's easier to do some things on the netbook. Plus I can watch videos and TV shows on the net with the netbook; I rarely turn on hotel TVs. Finally, my netbook is insured for theft, so I am happier to bring that than my laptop.
When go on vacation, it's to get away from technology. There are times that I do bring it, but that's just if I'm waiting to hear back from someone/thing. My primary e-mail account is also on my phone, so a laptop isn't really something I have to have along. The surprise of what's waiting for me when I return is a fun thing after the doom and gloom of coming home from vacation. If I'm in school at the time, I'll bring it along with me. But there's a good chance I won't use it. Vacation is just that - a vacation.
Yes... I bring my laptop with me everywhere... sometime it's homework but most of the time it's just for the joy of surfing and connecting with friends... to be honest, I'm deaf and my family are hearing. They don't bother try to tell me what's really going on. So basically I use my laptop as an escape so I can talk to my deaf friends and easier to talk to hearing people through AIM, facebook instant message, and so on. But sometime I feel like technology has got the best of me and I want to close my laptop so I can pay attention what's out there... I feel like I miss out too much. I want to live my life, you know... I know I can do it but I need to motivate my authority to overcome that so I can feel like I do have a life... I mean, I know I have a life and I know I have my boyfriend and friends... but it's only when I'm on vacation, I feel invisible. Sometime it sucks... sometime it doesn't.. it really depends...
Alright, I'm getting off... I think I'm gonna have something to eat. I'll see you guys later.
If I had a laptop of my own, I would probably bring it with me.
Reason being - not only could I keep up with communicating with my friends while I'm gone, but I could get homework done, as well as just general surfing. Given that I'm an EMT, I have learned to multitask, and having a laptop there with me would allow (or at least assist) me to get a bunch of stuff done at once.
I did that on my last vacation. It was kind of disastrous. I probably won't do that again, but considering I'm in school online, if I go on any vacations while still in school, my laptop will have to come with me so I don't fall behind in school work.
why the hell would you bring your laptop on vacation.. ? you're suppose to be on vacation away from the internet/work/school. can we not go on vacation without having to check facebook or twitter??
I wish I could knit.
I think it would be way cool to be that coordinated. Lol!
Sigh.
In other news, the Little One and I went through our wall calendars and colored/decorated the holidays. She seems really excited about all these holidays we get to celebrate. We also put blue stars for the Full moons in each month, I told her they are Goddess days and she started thinking of them as the Goddess' birthday days every month :)
Then she wanted to decorate the New moon days- so we're celebrating them as God's birthday.
As she went through the months, she started calling the Full Moons: Jesus' Goddess' birthday.
Which I had to explain that Jesus is very different from the God and the Goddess. Lol.
I can't wait for Ostara- but my bf and I might be in San Diego. If we won't, then the three of us are going to have an excellent Ostara.
On that note, I updated my website: www.end-in-dreams.net
I try not to ever bring my laptop anywhere... If I can't get my work finished at work, then there's a larger issue... I mean, I don't even pay for internet at home, so if I"m home, I literally can't do work. That being said, I do use my iPhone excessively for personal internet stuff... even when on vacation. Boo.
Hm... I don't think I've ever taken a vacation. I probably would take it, just for the sake of in case I need it. But if I ever went on a vacation I'd wanna have sun doing activities and trying new things.
I bring my laptop everywhere, even to work. Since there are so many fast & free wifi spots around, it only makes sense for a fantasy & poetry writer to keep the tools of her trade with her so she can stay connected with all her important contacts & resources. I even do so at lunch at work. For me, this is fun.
Well I cant help but take things that connect me to the outside world, because I hardly call people on the phone anymore, and If I were having a REALLY great vacation I'd wanna upload all the photos in real time
I bring mine with me so I can use my tablet and draw as well as show to my family in AZ(as that is where I vacation most of the time since I don't see them much anymore.xD ) works that not even the internet have seen or to show them those works as well as some traditional ones that I took pictures of or scanned. When I am on vacation, family time is more important than time on the web as I know that time is growing short for my grandparents and great-grandmother so I want to spend those days that I can with them. Even though when I was young I did as well since my parents were busy trying to make a living and support my brother and I, I cherish those times and the time that I have left with them more than anything else. They support my career choice and love to see my work. I love to see them smile when they see something they like and laugh when they see something funny that I have done. Though everyone in my family supports me, they were the very first to support my dream and have ever since. I thank them for that and when the time comes where I am well known(or at least well established) I wish to dedicate a piece to just them, one that will not only make them smile but others who see it and feel the same about those who have supported them and their dreams.
Yes, yes, yes! I do it for work and surfing. Work meaning writing. Vacation can provide some perfect inspiration! Like visiting a place so you can learn about it intently (That's why I plan to visit Rachel, Nevada when I can. That way, I don't have to do as much research. Because, let's face it: research is sometimes pretty difficult.). I take pictures so when we go home at the end of the week I'll still be able to write. :)
I don't have a laptop, nor do I go on vacation (except for last year over 4th of July weekend, which was AWESOME.)
If I did have a laptop, and I did go on vacation, I wouldn't do any work with it and might not even take it. Seriously, I might not! Stop laughing, it could happen.
Me and Brett brought my laptop with us to FL.
We used it for checking our bank accounts, looking up stuff in the area such as resturants and prices and also bought our Universal Halloween Horror Night tickets online while we were there.
And at night when we were just hanging at the hotel, we would check Facebook and stuff.
Don't have a laptop that functions or anything mobile, so no. Tho' on previous occasions I have borrowed other people's compies to stay in touch with the Digital Domain.
Well, I don't own a laptop, though if I did, it would definitely go with me on vacation. Probably because I would want to be playing World of Warcraft. Now that is a geek for you. I envision myself playing WoW, during my vacation. Lol, splendid. I think it is because the computer I currently have is so fail, and is incapable of doing anything at the moment, so my cravings are fierce for that game. But yes, vacations, and laptops, oh my! Hopefully soon I'll get back in school, then I'll throw in some homework in there too. That's always good. Now I want a laptop, wahhhh!! (that is my crying sound) Okay then, I think I'm done here. Next question?
Yes, I almost always so bring my laptop on vacation. I don't always use it, but I like having the option to check my email, surf the web or look up location of something I want to visit. On family trips, I use my laptop for watching videos in the car to and from places (we usually do at least 3 or 4 hours of driving during vacations) or entertaining myself while everyone is getting ready to go to breakfast or whatever.
I wish I could. :( I have my mom's old laptop right now and she still doesn't want that thing busted! However, if I could, I'd use it for both work and surfing!
Yup I would totally bring my laptop on vacation and it wouldn't be for just one thing it would be for everything I would answer small work related stuff just maintenance big stuff would have to wait until I got back to my main computer since I do web design anything. I would do homework on vacation if I'm bored and not doing anything or if it late and everything closed and I'm not tired since that just means I'll have more time later on. and surfing and connecting would be a given especially considering how many people have facebook or some other kind of social network thing now and days. I honestly don't think I could go a day without getting on the computer it's to much apart of who I am anymore.
I do bring my computer on vacation. I use it first and foremost to record my stuff into my journal. Then I have to do my work stuff on here. Then I surf the web, contact friends. Do the relaxing stuff that makes me happy. Vacation wouldn't be the same without my computer.
Of course I bring my laptop on vacation, it's nice to troll people over the internet while I'm on vacation. sometimes in Johto I have extra cyber sex with the dutch jew Ayumi. ;v
Yes. I would. I have to have my laptop for school and for business. If I am completely out of pocket, the entire world goes to hell. I suppose if I didn't have the laptop the Blackbery would suffice, but I would rather save that for when I cannot plug in with the PC.
Absolutely! Nothing better than portable media! When taking long road trips with friends or co-workers, having the my laptop with me gives me a chance to catch up on work, keep a journal, browse the web (if I am lucky enough to be in WiFi range.) If there's nothing else that needs doing, I can always watch movies or play games. More often than not I have my laptop handy for entertainment purposes, online gaming is one of my favorite pass times.
Ofcourse, i'd have the availability of my music, videos and internet in a screen big enough to not make me go insane. I'd have one exclusively for travelling if i could :)
I usually bring my laptop, but it's cause I usually have work or homework to do. Someday I want to take an actual big kid vacation when I don't have to worry about homework or work and I'll leave my laptop at home. Ha ha ... Maybe the next trip Up North for the weekend I'll get my homework done, so I won't need to bring my laptop and everything else can wait till Monday! I gotta start small, so a weekend getaway might be perfect! :)
My computer's name is PatrickStump, so naturally, it comes everywhere with me. I take it with me on vacation all the time. It's mostly just for chatting with my internet friends ('cause I have none in rl lol). Actually, I think that's all I use it for when I take it on vacation haha. I'm a slacker and therefore never do my job (which is a boring data base job I can do pm anywhere). And I'm a procrastinator, so I would never do my homework on vacation haha.
I always take my laptop with me if I go on vacation somewhere. Though I'm only on it usually at night when I'm in the motel room and not going anywhere. It gives me something to do at the very least. I also use it to upload picture from my digital camera and video camera as well to keep enough spave free.
So mainly it's just for fun use and not business or anything.
I bring my lap top with me on vacation because professors are always assigning work over the breaks. So my lap top has become a necessity, Vacations are for sight seeing, exploring and mingling, your laptop isn't really necessary.
Um, the joy of connecting, of course. I wouldn't want to be without internet access on a vacation. I'd feel cut off, like I was missing part of my memory or something. Obviously I would be on it less than usual, but if I was at a beach, or lounging by a pool or something, that would be a good time to catch up on email, blogs, webcomics. The Internet is such a part of many people's daily lives, whatever they use it for, that it would be unpleasant at least, to be forced or expected to abandon it completely, even for a vacation. That said, I wouldn't want to be so wrapped up in things I would normally do at home that I waste the vacation. I just don't think it should be all or nothing.
That said, my job doesn't have a take-home component, and I'm not a student right now, so the only use I'd have for Internet access on vacation would be surfing and staying involved in my online life. I am sure that if I could work from home, or if I was in college again, I would bring my laptop for those reasons instead/as well.
Yes, I do bring my laptop on vacation. I suppose it's a commentary on our modern society, because it's not really for either reason. The simple fact, as sad as it is, is that I feel disconnected with the world without my laptop. The ease of getting an answer momentarilly is something I've taken security in for far too long. The ability to instantly access contact my friends is something that keeps me in touch. and the idea that I have no need to wait for anything is just something I'm used to. It is a product of being raised in the society of instant gratification, and I suppose it's a touch depressing.
Absolutely! That's why I managed to get a netbook to 'replace' my poor, sputtering little Gateway, which went just about everywhere with me. It's for surfing/connecting, but also for just writing. I have a hard time writing on desktop computers and my wrist just doesn't put up with holding a pen for three hours straight while I try to pour my mind out on paper.
We'll see what happens if I can catch a break this summer. Hotel better have wifi.
It depends. If there's wifi, then most definitely, but then if there's not. Then I might bring it just to play Solitare or whatever on it, or listen to music. Because I'm awesome like that.
I use it both as a toy and to keep in touch with FRG stuff. I admit, I ignore most of it, but I'm aware of it.
Pete's going to kill me when he discovers I installed AOL on his laptop tonight. Unlike him, however, I loathe webmail. I need my AOL! (Yes, I still use AOL.)
Oh heck yes I would bring my laptop on vacation. But that implies that I go on vacation in the first place. Next week my parents are going to Hawaii and I get to housesit. That will be vacation, and most assuredly my laptop will be with me. :D
Oh yes. My laptop is closer to me than my wallet. closer to me than my best friend, sometimes. Why, you might ask. The answer is simple. It's my mind.
When I traveled across country by bus from Akron, Ohio to Phoenix, Arizona, it kept my sanity whole, my pictures organized, my hours endurable and my path recorded. My pictures got stored there. My raw thoughts at each stop recorded so I could remember them years later. It remembered the phone numbers that I had forgotten for years. It kept me in touch with my sweetheart thousands of miles away.
When I travelled around the southwest, it gave me a home base to spring ideas from. emails and letters grew from the spaces i inhabited into the greater world, and when my prosaic mind overflowed, i filled the laptop' memory with my own.
Work -- of course I did some on it. Play? Heck, yes I did (and still do). The most important thing, though, was what it helped me to be. It helped me to be wholly me.
If I go on vacation, the only thing I bring is my luggage and cell phone. My laptop stays behind. I cannot truly relax, when I am constantly online, and not enjoying the easy life.
My laptop goes everywhere with me. I use it for absolutely everything, but the thing I have the hardest time being without it my iTunes. But I use my laptop for writing and reading and staying connected to friends and family (I'm an email freak).
I bring my laptop on vacation mainly to have it just in case. Maybe I'll have some down time during my trip (especially at night before going to sleep) and I may just want to surf the net lol. It always helps me fall asleep when i'm in a different place :)
I bring my computer on all long distance trips. It's my main media center for movies/DVDs, downloaded shows, and music. I like watching something on long distance (all night) rides.
i don't have a laptop...but if i did...i wouldn't; regardless if it was for work, fun or connection...because when i take a vacation i'm not working. I usually do something fun on vacation... and i am with the ones i feel most connected too.
HA!!! I do not have a laptop!!! I am pathetic and horribly old fashioned and poor. If only I had a laptop, though. Sigh. I would take it everywhere with me. To the couch, to the bed. . .but no, not on vacation. Vacation is for vacationing, fool!
My cell phone is dismal as far as cell phones go. It doesn't have any special features. Nothing happens if you touch the incredibly small screen on my phone. You can't download or upload ringtones to it. You can't surf the internet; it has no games. The most exciting thing about my cell phone is that it has a notepad on it - granted it's incredibly hard to type anything interesting on such a small program for a long ancient machine.
That said, my laptop is my life. Why? What if I'm sitting in a hotel room bored out of my mind for 6 hours? What am I to do? I'll draw up some pictures or work on a story. And if I get lost? Or worse - stranded in London for three days with no hope of getting home in time to go to work? I speak from personal experience when I say sometimes Facebook can save your job; and when I say that most American cell phones don't get coverage overseas.
So to answer the quest; yes yes yes, a thousand times over.
It depends on the vacay. I took it to Hawaii. I can now claim I have played WoW in two different time zones. :P Yes, I'm a geek/nerd/dork, get over it. The Big Bang Theory is playing, and I'm totally geeking out. I also used the computer to clear off my memory cards and type up my journal entry for the day.
But ... I have taken it on "camping" trips. Where camping = staying in a cabin. I occasionally use it to clear off the memory cards of my cameras. Or more than occasionally - I take a lot of pictures. And I've used it for homework on vacation. And work. And surfing. I love my Luka. She's my one true love. :D
me I don't own a laptop. wish I did I love talking and sharing with others. and i like card games with others and backammon. Im always on the web and surfing, vin
Yes! Everywhere has free wi-fi and when there's nothing to do, I totally love having my netbook with me.
Although if it were a serious vacation where I was spending time with someone important to me, I'd prolly leave it behind. But then I'd feel pissed off finding out the person I wanted to spend so much precious time with brought a laptop on vacation and I don't have my netbook so I'm left to twiddle my thumbs while that person enjoys computer happy funtime ;_;
But my netbook so light and there's a special padded space for it in my luggage that I might as well bring it with me wherever I go... Y'know... Just in case :)
I would bring my laptop on vacation strickly to post any amazing photos on our trip to family at home. And only if we are in some exotic place. I don't see a need for any kind of electronics like that on vacation. You may as well allow a ps3 or wii for the kids and your husband to play. All things like that are is a distraction from what you really should have left all that behind for. Family is essential in this day and time. We work hard all year so we can sit back and enjoy our vacations. Or at least we should.
JES! i always bring my laptop...even if there isnt any wifi, so i can put pics on it and not fill up my card If I do have wifi, i get no sleep because I play WoW when im not doing vacation-ey things XD
It depends on the type of vacation I go on, I suppose. A sandy, beach filled vacation means good ol' Coppertone is being left safely at home. But, if I was going to visit a family member for an extended amount of time, my laptop would definitely be making the trip with me. For work or play, you ask? I'm in college. This computer sees enough work to earn some kind of wage and enough play to be named the biggest party animal of the year.
I did bring my laptop with me on my trip to Vancouver, WA. But I didn't even use it. I just brought it thinking I could look up things to do and directions and maybe post pictures right away. But when I tried getting on the internet I realized I had to pay to connect to the hotel internet. So my laptop was useless. Thank goodness for internet on cell phones haha. But next I go somewhere for vacation I'll leave it at home unless I know that I will have internet access.
Yes. And no, it's not for work. It's so I can log in to my many social networking sites/blogs (good god I am affiliated with toooooo many websites) and interact with friends, some of whom I won't be talking to IRL because um - I'M ON VACATION, and some of whom are just online-only. Surfing/connecting isn't like an *extra* to my life...it is PART of my life.
I bring my laptop on vacation, yes. I'm actually using it on vacation right now. I bring it with me so I can get in contact with my professors if I have a question while I'm here and I also use it to talk to other people so I can make plans with them.
I don't need my laptop. I have my cell phone/smartphone; whatever you want to call it. Why would I bring a laptop that I'd have to carry around every where in a bag/backpack when I can just easily put my cell in my pocket? ;]

I recently took my laptop with me to a Sci-Fi convention. I was staff at the convention, so I thought perhaps I might need to create a document or upload pics. The main reason I brought it was in order to do some homework, but I managed to get the homework done beforehand and didn't wind up needing it for that purpose. For future events, as if I'd ever be able to take a real vacation, I will probably be bringing it with me. It is necessary to have the access sometimes, and I like to keep my emails in check so they don't pile up on me.
I bring a laptop on vacation ( if I had one ) as a backup for if/when I got no data connection on my android phone. I love my android phone. We're going to make little baby droidettes one day.
I do bring my laptop on vacations with me. Why its really so i can have something to do when there's nothing to do. Also to chat to friends and family back home.
I think if I couldn't write and listen to tunes and just... Have a handy escape route at all times when going on VayCay... Well, that would be a pretty yucky vacation, huh?
Yes I do. It is for both homework and well surfing on the net and playing games. Have to have some fun. I have a daughter so the nightlife bit is out for me when on vacation with her. Now when not on vacation with her I still bring it for fun games and homework, I can just get out then. LOL
I don't like to even take luggage with me when I travel, so I don't like to take my laptops with me. I leave them at home safe from damage or someone stealing them. I don't need the Internet just the people I am going to see.
I just went on vacation to California and I did bring my laptop but I barely used it. Mainly because I would have had to pay for wifi at the hotels, and I get internet on my phone already. I did however take advantage of Starbuck's wifi.
In the past when I've gone on vacation over the past few years I took my laptop because I was in the middle of classes, since I go to school online it was not to much trouble to stay on top of my class work Finding and getting a hotel with free internet is a whole other can of beans though. It seems it's actually easier to get free wifi from a motel (which generally are way cheaper anyway) then it is a hotel. The only issue here is if you're going to a convention and want to stay at the hotel the convention's being held in. You might get free internet in the lobby but not in your room which is a touch annoying. And at 12 bucks a day it's not worth it (to me anyway.)
My Motorola Cliq, a Google Android based "smart" phone actually worked out really well for me since I could keep a tab on what I was spending, keep from getting lost and find restaurants and other things I needed by googling them! And if you wonder I am not a paid to say that I pay to own the phone and use it. So I'm just a customer. I still really found the phone very useful.
The Netbook, ...not so much. I suppose if I got a 3G modem for it it might be more useful on a vacation....The itty bitty keys on the phone do get a little annoying after a while.
Hell yes. I have important things to accomplish! I do things on the vacation but at night I will play around on the laptop. Places don't stay open nearly as late as they should. If they did, I wouldn't be on my laptop so much :)
I always bring my laptop with me on vacation. I can't live without the Internet or email. Usually I just surf for fun. I spend a lot of time on my computer just surfing, reading fanfiction, or playing games.
Yeah, I usually do. But I don't do work with it - I just want to be able to check personal email, have entertainment in airports, and be able to upload my vacation pictures and blog about them WHILE they are happening, not after I get back and am exhausted and having to get back into my routine.
If I am going to be going somewhere for an extended amount of time, my laptop always goes with me. That's part of the reason I chose a laptop rather than another desktop. I go to college full-time online. I don't get breaks except during Christmas, therefore even during vacation, I have to do school work. Without my laptop, I would be stuck at home all the time and that would just not be cool.
A lot of times I will even take my laptop with me if I go visit someone for more than a few minutes. I don't like to use other people's computers. I am so used to how I have things set up on my own laptop that I feel uncomfortable doing even the smallest tasks on someone else's machine.
Yes I take my laptop everyware with me. So of corse i take on vacation specially if i know beforehand i can have internet access.
I use my laptop both to surff the net, but also to read storys on and lissen to music with.
I also use it to gather email addresses and any other contact info from people i meet that I like to stay concat with.
in short my laptop meens everything to me its more then a tool its my best friend!
I don't go anywhere overnight without my laptop. When it was still new, I would take it everywhere. I'm kind of a computer addict.
I don't usually do work on vacation, the laptop is to keep me in contact with my friends. I have a difficult time being disconnected from my friends and family members, so it just works better for me.
I have brought my laptop on vacation. It wasn't to do homework cuz when I got my first laptop I wasn't in school anymore least not grade school. And I didn't bring the laptop for work. As I am unable to work. I brought my laptop to stay connected to loved ones and friends.
Do you bring your laptop on vacation? Is it to do work or homework or just for the joy of surfing/connecting?
Do you bring your laptop on vacation? Is it to do work or homework or just for the joy of surfing/connecting?
Answers
Most likely not. I'd only be concerned about checking my email while on vacation and that's something I would be able to do on my iPhone.
Nope, the computer stays at home!
I take my laptop on vacation and usually play a few games while in the hotel after everything has closed for the night.
No - I try not to worry about work when I go on vacation! I just want to enjoy the time off and relax.

I did that on my last vacation. It was kind of disastrous. I probably won't do that again, but considering I'm in school online, if I go on any vacations while still in school, my laptop will have to come with me so I don't fall behind in school work.

I can't wait for Ostara- but my bf and I might be in San Diego. If we won't, then the three of us are going to have an excellent Ostara.
On that note, I updated my website: www.end-in-dreams.net
I bring it so I don't have to watch cheesy movies on the plane and I also write when I am on "vacation".
I take Tarzan [my laptop] with me everywhere I go. I just love to be online all the time. It makes me happy.
The only laptop I have is The Feline Wonder. No vacations, either: no rest for the wicked. >=}
no I'd rather enjoy my trip and party outside, it's no point of traveling if you are in front of an computer

I don't have a laptop, so no.
BOTH
Yes, yes, yes!
Uh, yeah! I would die without my laptop! I say I'm bringing it to do work, but it's really for the internet/games. <3
When I go out of state it comes with me. We use it for directional purposes and for checking bank accounts.
I bring my laptop on vacation because I need to stay connected! If I'm not on top of the latest film industry news/gossip, I'll die!
I always do, and it is almost always the latter. I don't know, I just seem to be able to find stuff to do on my laptop. >_>;
I honestly don't think I could go a day without getting on the computer it's to much apart of who I am anymore.
course, it's pretty much my life, next to my phone of course, which I currently don't have at the moment, oh the joy.
homework! please! vacation is the time to get away from school. I aviod homework at all costs :)
I do bring my computer on vacation. I use it first and foremost to record my stuff into my journal. Then I have to do my work stuff on here. Then I surf the web, contact friends. Do the relaxing stuff that makes me happy. Vacation wouldn't be the same without my computer.
Typically just for the joy of surfing/connecting, because it's not really a vacation unless you can leave work at home :]
A vacation is a time to relax and let go of the stress of home and to surf/connect on your lap top to share your good times while your on vacation.
Of course I bring my laptop on vacation, it's nice to troll people over the internet while I'm on vacation. sometimes in Johto I have extra cyber sex with the dutch jew Ayumi. ;v
Vacation? What's that?
Yes. I would. I have to have my laptop for school and for business. If I am completely out of pocket, the entire world goes to hell. I suppose if I didn't have the laptop the Blackbery would suffice, but I would rather save that for when I cannot plug in with the PC.
Sometimes I do. But I try to get on the Internet at least once a week, with or without a laptop. Otherwise I'll start suffering withdrawal.
I only bring it because I upload my digital pictures off my memory card and videos off my flip cam so I can have the room to get more!
I bring my lap top with me on vacation because professors are always assigning work over the breaks. So my lap top has become a necessity, Vacations are for sight seeing, exploring and mingling, your laptop isn't really necessary.
i take my laptop for mostly surf the net and some time work on some of my T-Shirt design that I'm creating
Yeah I take it on "vacation". 'Cause when you're a student there never really is one, and there's always something to be done.
Hell yes I do. Facebook is a wonderful tool for letting people know that you didn't die.
Off to find some Midol... goodnight all.
Oh heck yes I would bring my laptop on vacation. But that implies that I go on vacation in the first place. Next week my parents are going to Hawaii and I get to housesit. That will be vacation, and most assuredly my laptop will be with me. :D
Yep. I bring it because I bring my laptop with me everywhere but school. If I go anywhere for a weekend, I bring it with me.
Even if I won't have an internet connection, I still bring it with me.
Now that I have a working one, I'm totally bringing it. It'll be for work & play.
I am using my laptop on vacation RIGHT NOW! Perfect timing!
Oh, my laptop goes everywhere with me.
Mostly to type stories and go on the internet--it usually doesn't have anything to do with schoolwork.
me I don't own a laptop. wish I did I love talking and sharing with others. and i like card games with others and backammon. Im always on the web and surfing, vin
Yes! Everywhere has free wi-fi and when there's nothing to do, I totally love having my netbook with me.
Although if it were a serious vacation where I was spending time with someone important to me, I'd prolly leave it behind. But then I'd feel pissed off finding out the person I wanted to spend so much precious time with brought a laptop on vacation and I don't have my netbook so I'm left to twiddle my thumbs while that person enjoys computer happy funtime ;_;
I just went on a vacation, got back this morning and I didn't take it but I really wish I would have!
I do, for work and for web surfing. I don't care what anyone says, the internet IS my relaxation time!
Why would I bring a laptop that I'd have to carry around every where in a bag/backpack when I can just easily put my cell in my pocket? ;]

I don't have a laptop.
no i prefer to go without laptop. vacation means to enjoy and give ur self a bit time from busy schedule.
I use it for the joy of surfing the web. And to do some research.
Um, to write!
I always bring my laptop!
YES! zOMG! Bo would die without The Return of Ham-Sandwich REBORN! xD
Mainly for her gay fandom porn & smut along with keeping in contact with familia. <3
I always bring my laptop with me on vacation. I can't live without the Internet or email. Usually I just surf for fun. I spend a lot of time on my computer just surfing, reading fanfiction, or playing games.
I haven't brought my laptop on vacation yet, but I would. I would do it for the joys of surfing the web and to keep in contact with friends.
I bring it anywhere I can. I NEED to connect with people. no, homework isn't done until the last five minutes before its due >.<
Yep. I do take it. But I only use it to make sure nothing important happens with my work and to have something to do late at night in the hotel/house.
