Using Tech To Plan A Summer Picnic
By Sarah W. Caron (from Clever Girls Collective) on June 16, 2011
Balmy days and endless rays of sun are nature's way of inviting us outside after a long winter. And what better way to convene with nature (well, other than gardening, maybe) than to have a picnic.Picnics can be whatever you want - a lunch eaten in the park with good friends. A potluck celebration on blankets at a historic site. A meal of fried chicken and all the fixin's on a rolling lawn. Whatever and wherever you do it, picnics are just plain fun.
The only caveat? Planning. It can be nerve-racking to have to remember to pack everything from utensils and napkins to the food and blanket. What if you forget something? Thankfully modern technology is there to ensure you don't.
Ready to get planning? These tech tools will help you plan that summer picnic totally stress-free.

Made for Android, the Picnic Planner App takes all the guesswork and stress out of trying to remember everything you need for a picnic. It's easy to use, though pretty basic. In any case, it's sure to relieve that "OMG I must have forgotten something" feeling.

Want to share the food-bringing duties for your picnic? Perfect Potluck is, well, perfect than. Basically, one person acts as the coordinator and makes customized sign-up for other attendees. Then they can respond, say what they're bringing and more.

If you need to send out invitations to your picnic, Pingg is a really cool option. It's a newer e-viting system with cooler, sleeker, nicely designed online invitations for parties or whatever.
