Travel In Style: 25 Gadgets & Tech Accessories for Travelers
By Kate Pruitt (from Design Sponge) on December 7, 2010
Whether you like it or not, chances are good that you will be one of the
millions of travelers in the air or on the roads this holiday season.
No matter how much I try to prepare myself for the annual flight home
for the holidays, I inevitably wind up at the airport in a flurry of
stress, mess, and discombobulation. I'd like to think that I could learn
a lesson from the frequent fliers I see around me, but to be honest,
most of them seem to be stressed out as well.
Keeping in mind the need for good design and aesthetic appeal, I've rounded up 25 of my travel essentials that will see you through all stages of the process. While you can definitely get away without owning everything on this list and a few items are definitely dreamy splurges, I do believe that you should consider treating yourself to a couple from each category, especially if you're a frequent traveler or if you plan to journey abroad. I hope to see my fellow travelers investing in their own peace of mind this holiday season, and I for one promise never again to be the disorganized and panicked person holding you up in the security line because I can't find my toiletries or wrench my computer from my overstuffed bag.
I'd love to hear from frequent travelers or air commuters on how they prepare for trips. What accessories or gadgets have helped make your travels easier?
