5 Tech Finds That Make Life Easier
By Jean Aw, NotCot
It's easy to take for granted the technology that makes our lives fun, productive and efficient. But there are products coming out every day that soon will be the things we just can't live without! So from the super fun to the super practical, here's a roundup of tech finds that will make life easier ... while also adding a little style and fun. Some of these won't be available for another few months, but they're worth the wait!

Swivel Portable Projector
This projector weighs six ounces and is not much bigger than a cell phone, yet it can project a crisp image over five feet tall. It connects to all sorts of media devices ~ iPods, iPhones, Flip Video, PSP, netbooks and more. You can project movies, TV and images anywhere on to practically anything. Sure, it means carrying less on vacations or business trips. But the random possibilities are what get me excited! Crazy art projections at your party ... scary movies projected on the ceiling of your tent while camping ... inspirational designs swirling on the floor of your office.
Liquid Image Freestyle Camera Goggles
I didn't think waterproof camera goggles were useful until I went to Hawaii and came back with almost no photos because I spent most of my time in the water and I didn't want to deal with carrying around one of those waterproof cameras. You can really use these camera goggles anywhere as a hands-free camera (video and still). But if you are diving in, it can handle depths up to 15 feet. If you're not planning to immerse it in water, the snow version has better resolution while still keeping your hands free.
Mint Automatic Floor Cleaner
I cannot stand mopping. It is like torture to me. This is why I cannot wait for the Mint Automatic Floor Cleaner to come out this year. Think of it as Roomba meets Swiffer, but with design by Yves Behar's Fuseproject and hyperintelligent guts by Evolution Robotics Inc. You can attach any cloth to this (with magnets!) and it will tool around cleaning your floors. I knew that if I held out some day a robot would mop my floors for me. Just look at how relaxed and happy this woman looks while a Mint silently cleans her floors:
Dyson Airblade Hand Dryer
The Airblade uses sheets of purified air traveling at 400 miles per hour to dry your hands in just 10 seconds. There's a HEPA filter that removes the bacteria in the air, so it's cleaner than rubbing your hands on a towel. Not getting sick definitely makes life easier. And it's greener than using paper towels. Oh yeah, and it's also way more fun.
Belkin Surge Protector w/ Remote Switch
We all want to save energy, but we also need to save time! Even electronics that are turned off use power when they are in stand-by mode. But going around and unplugging and replugging each thing every time you use it is a bit unrealistic considering how many electronics we all have. This surge protector gives you a remote switch you can use to turn them all of at once without crawling under the desk or behind the couch. You can assign some outlets to be "always on" ~ so that things you don't want to turn off like clocks, routers and DVRs will stay on while things like computers, gaming systems and microwaves can all be shut off at once.
What products out there make your life easier? Or what products do you wish were out there to make your life easier?
