9 Awesome Acoustic iPhone Amps

9 Awesome Acoustic iPhone AmpsIf you’re actually listening to music through the tiny little speakers on your iPhone, you’ve seriously got to stop. They’re terrible. That said, you can still get better sound and all that portability without using Bluetooth or even any electricity. Here are some of the coolest acoustic iPhone speakers that will amp up your sound.

iBamboo Speaker1. iBamboo Speaker
Made from a single piece of bamboo, the iBamboo Speaker spits out sound in two directions for generous amplification. It also happens to look a lot more interesting than your standard dock.

Sonastand2. Sonastand
Audio enhancement accessories don’t get much smaller than the Sonastand. The little pocket booster supplies an 8 decibel increase to your jams and is even available in different sizes to accommodate a variety of iPhone cases.

Volume3. Volume
Volume looks like a really hip trash can. That said, it’s a pretty neat looking way to supercharge your iPhone’s speakers. The angled foot is a nice touch so you can direct the audio towards you and not straight up into the ether.

Mini Koo4. Mini Koo
You can go with its bigger brother (the Original Koostik) for larger sound, but I dig the small and simple design of the Mini Koo. Available in a variety of different kinds of wood, the Mini Koo is a sharp little passive amplifier.

Tembo Trunks5. Tembo Trunks
Tembo Trunks are a bit different than the other amplification devices on this list, in that they actually boost the sound from your Apple earbuds. They’re waterproof, collapsible, and durable making them the ideal speaker option for an outdoor adventure.

Arkcanary-II6. Arkcanary II
Not to remind you of that awful vuvuzela craze, but this horn shaped device makes for a nice little iPhone 4/4s music booster. Available in a variety of colors, it can be a bit more playful than a standard docking unit.

Phonofone-III7. Phonophone III
Yeah it might cost as much as some good powered speakers, but the sharp looking Phonofone III will be a nice little statement piece for your pad. With the ability to make your tunes 4x louder, the handmade Phonofone III can actually provide you with legit sound.

The-Natural-Acoustics-iPhone-Amplifier8. The Natural Acoustics iPhone Amplifier
While we’re on the topic of acoustic amplifiers that cost a substantial amount but look cool and provide a big boost, might want to consider this guy from Hammacher Schlemmer. The Natural Acoustics iPhone Amplifier is basically a piece of functional art for your home. Handcrafted entirely of slip-cast ceramic and fired over in Italy, The Natural Acoustics iPhone Amplifier might be the coolest looking jam pumper for your pre-iPhone 5.

Griffin-AirCurve-Play9. Griffin AirCurve Play
Ten more decibels for the cost of an album ain’t half bad. The AirCurve Play from Griffin is a clear little stand that makes for the perfect desk companion.
