Calling all college Fashionistas and Fashionistos! Get involved in the virtual fashion sphere and learn about the most popular sources of technology on campuses and where to find your fashion inspiration online. The question is not only how you use technology in your everyday life, it’s how you look doing it!
Technology has always played a great role in our lives, from AIM communication and MySpace to Facebook and FaceTime. The advanced technology of the 21st century helps us stay informed, connected and up to date with the latest news and styles.
Since fashion is so prevalent in my life, I don’t know where I would be without my phone. I can pin new styles, Instagram my findings, retweet posts by my favorite designers and search through the apps of my favorite magazines, ultimately helping me stay up to date in the fashion sphere.
My favorite and most inspiring place to go sit and read my fashion news is in GWU’s best and only green space, Kogan Plaza. Here, I am able to access all of the information I want and need while still enjoying the fresh DC air. On this little Greek-inspired monument I relax in my comfortable fall-inspired outfits and get updated on the latest.
In this specific outfit, I am wearing Urban Outfitters Pins and Needles Floral Crochet Eternity Scarf with my J.Crew chambray shirt and Toothpick eggplant jeans. In the winter, I am never caught without my thick, colorful scarves—even in sweats. My preference this season is definitely Urban Outfitters’ scarves. They are chunky and soft and in an amazing array of colors. I love the contrast that the purple webbing has on the yellow and violet floral print in this scarf, especially overtop of the denim oxford. I don’t know what it is about chambray shirts, but I love them. They’re honestly the best and so wearable. I love matching my chambray with colored jeans, especially my Toothpicks from J.Crew. They come in a variety of colors and even in corduroys this season at a fab price. My booties are from Old Navy and go with anything in any season.
