As of late, I have become extremely interested in learning more about typography. I am fascinated at the many, many, MANY variations the alphabet can take through the creativity of design. Typography plays such a significant role in the past, present and future of graphic design, and I am always struggling to keep up with all of the latest and greatest. In an effort to satisfy my growing hunger for all things type, I’ve decided to round up some of my favorite typography apps.

The Typography Manual, $3.99
Continue your typographic education with this on-the-go app. This 60+ page book covers the history of type, type basics, how to properly set text and special characters, typography on the web, graphic design topics, a massive glossary of terms and more.
Ever see a poster or packaging and want to know the font that was used in the design? Happens to me all of the time. Now I don’t have live with the mystery. I can just snap a photo and use WhattheFont to locate that very font. Presto!
There have been times where I wish I could add a watermark or piece of text to the photos I take on my phone. Over allows you to do just that and then share those enhanced photos via your social media.
