Jamie, My Intentions Are Bass” – !!!
You’d be hard-pressed to find a band more fun on stage and off than !!! (Chk Chk Chk), a group that’s even more fun to say/type than most acts. This song, from their recent LP Strange Weather, Isn’t It? is just the bass-heavy, toe-tapping kind of thump jam you need to really give those woofers a workout.

Gangsta” – tUnE-yArDs
For the more vocally inclined and/or Talking-Heads fans, check out the odd-rock of tUnE-yArDs. The sonically diverse “Gangsta” employs a lot of varied percussive elements as well as quick visceral horn hits and vocal nuance. It takes a mighty fine set of speakers to hear all the minute details of this recording.

trianglelogo.jpgFor 12” – Other Lives
If you want a pretty engrossing guitar-and-vocal adventure (but don’t want to play that Fleet Foxes song like everyone else), try the pastoral adventures of Other Lives. These dudes have toured with Radiohead, and for good reason: their progressions are as affecting as they are mystifying.

Let Go” – Everest
Here’s a track that makes excellent use of panning guitars as the basis for the main (and dare we say, awesome) riff. Some well placed stereo components make all the difference in fully enjoying this epic melody.

Ice Cream” – Battles
Battles are known for their complex instrumental prowess, really any of their tracks off Gloss Drop will showcase your stereosystem’s chops. We picked the popiest tune, complete with a lot of high-end color and a variety of simultaneous motifs to get the most out of your sound.

“Beat It Down” – Jesus Jones. A techno-heavy remix b-side track from their single “Bring It On Down”, “Beat It Down” overlaps three heavy bass tracks that give your woofs a serious workout. Crank it.
