Apple founder Steve Jobs once said, “Design is the fundamental soul of a
human-made creation that ends up expressing itself in successive outer
layers of the product or service.” More than just relegated to
professionals, modern design is now something most individuals seek out
and appreciate as part of their daily lives. They look to it for simple
and elegant solutions, to find meaningful order and to feel connected to
places or spaces. Today, we’ve put together six websites that are at
the forefront of modern design. They’re the ones who not only shape
tomorrow’s future, they’re the ones showing us who’s designing it.
1. Dezeen

In 2006, Dezeen launched and it quickly became the online magazine both designers and design enthusiasts look to as a modern design authority. In 2008, Time Magazine listed Dezeen as one of their ten most important design websites in the world. With a carefully edited selection of stories, Dezeen often breaks architecture, design and interior-related news before anyone else.
