40 Stylish Desks and Desktop Accessories

DesignSpongeDeskPOV.pngWhen I decided to go full-time with Design*Sponge, one of the things I was most excited about was never having to work at an office cubicle or desk again. I’ve never been a big desk person, but as my work load grows, so does my need for a clean, flat surface on which to work. So today I thought I’d round up 40 of my absolute favorite desks on the market- including the one that came home to live in the home office I share with my husband. And because MyLifeScoop is all about technology, I’ve included a handful of my favorite desktop tech gadgets as well – ranging from Portland wifi units to easy to use trackpads.

I think there might be an extra numeral in the price for the DWR stak shelving with desk. :)

    LOVE the trestle IKEA table.

If you get a steel case desk, for around $400 or less you can have it painted by a company to match your decor, personality, whatever. Here’s an example of a company I’d use and recommend in LA: http://steelsantos.com/

They also have great desks that they sell as well.

I sold my Eames ESU desk and bought an Ikea dining table (Melltorp) for $70. I love the space it affords me and the look is perfect.

Love this post as I just spent some time searching for my own great desk. Wish I would have seen your desk sooner! But the one I got I do love. It’s an old library table – you can see it here: http://bit.ly/99xTkD Purchased off Craig’s List!

I’d love to hear what you think about office chairs. Any suggestions for something comfortable and reasonably priced?

I’m looking for a crafting/fabric cutting table that’s about 38″ or so high and surface area of 4′x 8′. A table that you can stand and work at. Any great finds on those types of tables? I’ve been scouring the web and am thinking I might just have to make one myself!

Love the desks you’ve posted! And, like Alesya, I would love to see a post on office chairs as well!
