10 Great Free Games for Android

android-games-624-258.jpgThe Android
Market may not be quite caught up to its Apple App Store counterpart
just yet, but it’s certainly no slouch either. Gamers looking for
a free fix on the go won’t be disappointed, as a number of fun and
entertaining apps are available, with more being introduced all the time.

At
the low, low price of free, these apps won’t break the bank even if
you want to try them all. We aimed for a bit of genre diversity when
building this list, so hopefully gamers of all stripes will find
something
to like here. However with only ten slots, we’re sure to have missed
some gems out there – be sure to let us know about your favorite
Android freebies in the comments.

Without further
ado, let’s play some games!

1. Choice
of the Dragon

text-based adventures like Zork or even those who
enjoyed
the Choose Your Own Adventure book series as children will find much
to be delighted by in Choice
of Games
‘s
Choice of the Dragon. You play as the titular dragon, facing weighty
decisions from whether to kill or leave a halfling undisturbed to more
personal choices like what color your body is and whether your wings
are leathery or scaly.

As you make
choices in the game, your stats are adjusted accordingly along several
axes: brutality vs. finesse, cunning vs. honor, and so forth. The actual
adventures you encounter are imaginative and the choices interesting,
with a healthy dose of wry humor often adding to the entertainment value
of this game.

AndyAs I’m always rninung low on space on my Desire, it’s impossible to install the flash player, as the installation process crashes everytime, due to lack of space (end size is 17.6 MB, but it actually requires a bit more during the install process). So even though I ticked the automatic update to OFF , everytime I connect to the web it tries to download and install the flash player. So it’s constantly trying to download, and my plan does NOT include unlimited downloads. So thank you Adobe (and Google) for forcing me to keep the internet connection down all day. Hmm are the Samsungs or LG’s having any Xmas promotions yet???

definaleapp is a lot better for me after this the nofitications actually work. and the quicklink from the notification to actually seeing the messages works ok now too.it does baffle me how this app is severely underdeveloped and undernourished.im sure that facebook will release a phone of their own at some point soon, hence the crappy development .not just a half-assed job with a facebook button but a full Facebook Phone or Facephone or Facebook 1 or something

This book is great to get your hands dirty with some android aiitpcalpon development. However; this book is intended for an audience who is familiar with that of the android programming structure and Java in general. The book spans over a huge range of topics, which will be incredibly useful to that of an android developer who’s looking for a little bit more advanced topics that are available in the Android API. I highly recommend this book to those who have already gotten there hands dirty with the basics of android and are yearning for more. This book will help you get into the topics that may help make your aiitpcalpon transition from the Basic level to the Great level. Of course the only way to learn coding is through practice and example. The author went through a lot of trouble to organize the code in such a way that it can be easily sifted through and used. Shawn (The author) does a great job of explaining the various intricate parts that are necessary to understand, as well as keep it on a terra-firma level. Being that this book was written by only one author, it helps it maintain a stable environment, as with some books introducing a bunch of authors can sometimes lead to an uneven conversation of dialog that the reader undergoes with the book. I have a large collection of android book and I will be coming to this book when I want to implement something advanced to make my app better. However, this does not assume that everything in the book is perfect, there will be problems that can only be solved as a developer, but from the examples I looked through and used, I did not have many problems. If you are in need of some advanced topics of android or just want to see them in action, I highly recommend you pick up this book immediately!

I thought the book would tell me how to do the tips it told me about. Now I know my phone can do many woedurfnl things. but HOW? A few did give directions, but where do I find out HOW to apply the rest of them? If you are tech savvy and just need to know what your droid can do, then this guide would help you. If you need to know HOW, then look for another book! Did I say HOW enough?
