1. Urbanspoon

Urbanspoon is one of the best restaurant finders on the iPhone, allowing
you to search and browse by neighborhood, cuisine, and price (or a
combination of the three).  One of the best features of Urbanspoon is
the “slot machine,” which lets you shake your phone for a random dining
recommendation (though you can lock in a specific area, type of food, or
price range).  The app offers both user and critic reviews for each
restaurant, and for iPhone 3G S owners, the newest version of Urbanspoon
augments reality with a camera overlay view showing the nearest
eateries.

    Good list… What about Yelp!?

Waaaaay to rationalize our chocies in life! Too bad we tend to choose to avoid communicating how we really feel. Had we just done so, we MIGHT have achieved greater mutual understanding with those we have issues with, sooner, rather than later.

    I vote for Foursquare. :)

Here’s an article about how restaurants benefit from apps and social media:

My vote is on Seasons … http://www.seasonsapp.com The app comes with seasonal data for US, UK and Europe, is multilingual and has local farmers markets as well.

Thrilled with Big Oven – just what I was looking for – between that and the Epicurious app I have some serious recipes at my fingertips! I wish the Menu Page app had listings for Houston, Texas because I would use it all time. Maybe they will add it at a later time. Nice list, thanks!

Great! Are there any apps out there for the foodies who like the inedible cooking-eating-drinking-entertaining tools/accessories/stuff? Especially apps with a focus on design and function?

Love Urbanspoon, hate Yelp! To each his own!

This is a good list. Very similar to a list of foodie apps I posted back in July.

Great list. I thought our foodessentials scanner was worth a consideration. It allows you to scan food barcodes and view the allergen additive, nutrient and ingredient properties to better find healthier products.

We only just released 2 weeks ago and have some great reviews. And just submitted a new really exciting release that allows you to customize your label view with any of 30,000+ ingredients.

Would love to know what people think.

I just wanted to share this amazing app that I found called Sweet’N'Spicy at http://itunes.apple.com/app/sweennspicy/id393738867 from Fullmeals.net. It has everything! It has over 3000 recipes non-vegetarian, vegetarian and vegan. I’ve never seen so many recipes! And it’s free! :D

Great list of food apps. We’d like to suggest checking out our recently released app Farmanac. It’s a produce guide that allows users look up items by name or plu number. You’ll find beautiful photos for each piece of produce with information such as organic status, how to store, how to select, wheather it’s in season, and general background info on 1400+ fruits and vegetables. Check it out at http://getFarmanac.com

Try this mobile website foodler.mobi . It’s not bad at all. Don’t worry about download and install app. The best thing is it compatible with any smart phone (iPhone or android phone)

Try with your phone not with your laptop or desktop.
