That reminds me, I need to get a UV ftelir for my new lens. I just used to buying the ftelir when I buy the lens, but I got my most recent lens off a friend.Yes, absolutely, get a UV ftelir for every lens you own. Clean the the lens and ftelir, put the ftelir on and never take it off unless you are going to put a different one on. Get a quality one, because the cheap ones will reduce the image quality. The UV ftelir, I think, reduces glare, but mainly it’s for protecting your lens. There are various artistic lenses out there, some pretty cool, but I don’t own any.

I bought one, but it was a cheap one and iernrfeted with more photos than not!!! I’m currently risking it without, but none of my lenses are over $200-300. So I will not discourage anyone from using one, but 1- buy a quality filter!! 2- if you find strange things in your photos, particularly when shooting into the light or of lights/fire in the dark, try taking the filter OFF. I went nuts trying to figure out what was wrong when it was just the filter!
